Variable Measures  (2012)

Between 2010 and 2012 I traveled almost every week I travel from Long Island to New York. The trip is around 2 hours and a half and there are approximately 15 stations, depending on the schedule specified for each day.

For this work I took a photograph per each station that the train stopped by. Once the train started to run I opened the shutter and closed it until we got to the next station. I repeated this process until the end of the journey.

The weather conditions, the time of the day and the speed of the train determine the result of the photographs per each trip.
