2018 Installation variable measures

For this installation, a thread with a needle in one of its extremes remains tense by the force of gravity on one side and magnetism on the other, creating a system in which the needle remains floating close to the magnet.

On the other hand, we have the compressed version of the Stridentist Manifest, a  Mexican vanguard literary movement from the 1920´s  influenced by dadaism and futurism that was started by Manuel Maples Arce. Here, all the letters of the manifest are typed over the same spot in a blank page.

The thread line describes the tension of an event (the fall of the needle) that is about to happen but never comes, an unfulfilled promise. On the other hand, the manifest compressed almost to a dot acts like a seed that contains the possibility of a vanguard movement to spring again.
