· THE MAP IS NOT THE TERRITORY

For this series of drawings, I randomly drew a progression of points on each piece of paper and then tried to reconnect them by drawing a line among them. This stands as a metaphor on the way our memory works, which is basically a process of constantly recombining and reconnecting different moments in order to foreseen answers to everyday situations.

Considering this, our memory is constantly mapping itself as events take part in our life. However, the maps our memory creates are just a reference that helps us to deal with reality, and as limited as they are in order to help us to fully understand reality, they are key to help us to navigate through life.
